Celebrate 30 years of public art in San Antonio with a one-day free guided experience through La Zona Cultural. Meet the artists behind newly completed installations, hear the stories that shaped their work, and explore one of the city’s most vibrant cultural districts in a whole new way. Presented in partnership with the City of San Antonio Arts & Culture Department.

Itinerary

Arrive at Plaza de Armas Gallery for guest check-in, group assignment, and a brief welcome before the experience begins.

Enjoy complimentary coffee and light refreshments while meeting fellow guests and getting settled.

Small groups depart with guides into La Zona Cultural to begin exploring newly completed public art installations.

At each featured stop, guests will hear directly from participating artists about their inspiration, process, and the stories behind the work.

Learn how public art has helped shape neighborhoods, culture, and community over the last 30 years.

Return to the starting area with time for photos, questions, and additional exploration of downtown San Antonio.

You’ll meet the artists behind newly completed installations, hear the stories that shaped their work, and gain insight into how public art continues to transform the city.

Guests will explore the district in small groups, creating a more personal and engaging experience at each stop. Along the way, you’ll connect with the creative voices shaping San Antonio’s cultural landscape today.

Arrive early to enjoy complimentary coffee and light bites, meet fellow guests, and get settled before the walk begins.

Space is limited for this free community event, and advance registration is required.

The walk will begin shortly after. 📝 Waiver Required All participants must complete a waiver prior to arrival.
