Description

The Southtown bike ride tour, also known as the Weekday Tour, is basically our weekend tour's more southern, slightly cooler cousin. Starting and ending at the historical King William District, we'll venture through the Riverwalk area where we'll witness some truly stunning murals at Travis Park Church. They're basically like eye candy for your bike ride. Then we'll check out Rudy Herrera's "Last Parade," which just so happens to be the tallest mural in the whole city. After we've craned our necks, we'll head over to Hemisphere Park, which once hosted the '68 World's Fair! Fun fact alert! At the end of the Southtown bike ride tour, we'll make our way back to where it all began - the King William District. This beautiful and historic neighborhood is known for its stunning Victorian architecture and was once the most affluent residential area in the city. And here's a fun fact: the district is named after King Wilhelm I of Prussia! After the tour, participants can explore the district and discover some great spots to grab a bite to eat or a drink. It's the perfect way to end a delightful day of cycling and sightseeing in the beautiful city of San Antonio.

Why take this tour?

Look up the definition of Mural Ride and it will say: A San Antonio bike tour company that rides through Downtown San Antonio with an amazing host who will show you the best San Antonio street art. Well, maybe it won’t say that, but I am working with Webster’s to make it happen. On a typical tour, we will see over 20 different murals from artists in San Antonio and throughout Texas. This is the moment to take out your camera, GoPro, or drone and get some amazing pictures. This isn’t your typical tour of San Antonio. Our guides will tell you where the best breakfast tacos are, the best cocktails, and the spots only the locals go to. If there is something specific you want to see just let us know and we will be sure to accommodate you. The bikes you will be using are your old school cruisers. Big handlebars, one speed, back brakes, just like when you were a child. When we first meet we will ride around the parking lot until you feel comfortable riding on the street.
